Deputy head of the Iranian Health Ministry's Communicable Diseases Centre, Mahmoud Nabavi, wsaid that 83 per cent of people infected with cholera are citizens of the neighboring countries and illegal migrants. Over 74 per cent of people infected with this disease live in villages. Some 91 per cent of the infected are men, he said.
