Outbreak of Cholera in Mozambique grew exponentially since December 2022. Heavy rainfall in the first weeks of February worsened the situation. Neighboring country Malawi is facing the deadliest cholera outbreak in history. There is frequent bordering between the two countries which is likely contributing to the spread.
Any person presenting with or dying from acute watery diarrhoea.
A suspected case with Vibrio cholerae O1 or O139 confirmed by culture or PCR.
